The members have been singing together for more than ten years. Most of them learned in the same specialized music elementary school, formerly called Lorántffy Zsuzsanna, now Kodály Zoltán Music Elementary School. Their repertoire includes pieces from all the periods of choir music.
Besides the classics, that is Palestrina, Lassus, Jannequin, Hassler, Marenzio, as well as Handel, Bach, Mozart, Rossini, Verdi and Debussy, they sing 20th century masters, such as Poulenc, Bartók, Kodály and Bárdos, but also contemporary composers, like Orbán, Kocsár, or Petrovics.
They have been to Finnland on a concert tour, they sing regularly in churches in Budapest, at museum concerts of KOTA (National Council of Choirs) and on charity events of the international charity organization, Lions Club. They receive invitations from country towns and they are pleased to take part in the annual Bárdos Lajos Days.
In February 2003, Pro Fun and Yokohama Soundbridge Choir together, sang Beethoven's Symphony IX in the Hungarian State Opera, in the event called 'On the Musical Bridge between East and West'.
In 2004, on 1st May in Cegléd, they sang with two other choirs the European Hymn, the Ode of Joy, on the occasion of our joining the European Union. Since the autumn of 2005, they have been singing the Mozart and Verdi Requiem, together with the Buda Kapisztrán Choir on the Masses Celebrated for the Dead, in the Budapest Basilica and the Belvárosi Church.
In September 2007 Pro Fun had a concert in the framework of 'Mission for the Town' in the Matthias Church.
Their choirmaster is Katalin Énekes.
She started her studies in the first music elementary school in Budapest, then went on to the music section of Móricz Zsigmond Secondary School. She also studied at the Bartók Béla Specialized Music Secondary School, and graduated at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy, as a music teacher and choirmaster. Her professors were István Párkai and József Maklári.
